The DORA Program

The DORA program allows patrons to purchase an alcoholic beverage from a participating establishment and carry an open container (up to 16 oz.) outdoors, within the DORA boundaries. 

List of DORA Participants

DORA RULES

1.) The DORA shall be in effect annually from the Friday prior to Memorial Day weekend until the end of the day on the Monday of Labor Day Weekend. 


The following hours will be in effect each week: 

Monday—Thursday: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm* 

Friday—Sunday: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm* 


2.) Cups MUST remain outdoors.


3.) Cups MUST stay within boundary signs.


Note that the last sales shall occur no later than 9:30 pm and all cups must be disposed of by 10:00 pm. 

 You cannot carry a cup into another business location, your cups must remain outdoors and within the DORA boundaries.

You cannot enter the premises of an establishment within an outdoor refreshment area while possessing an opened container of beer or intoxicating liquor acquired elsewhere.  

You cannot possess an opened container of beer or intoxicated liquor while being in or on a motor vehicle within an outdoor refreshment area.  

You cannot possess more than one DORA cup at a time.

Your DORA cups must stay within the boundaries indicated below. Please be aware of the DORA signs.

This sticker reminds you to dispose of your DORA cup before entering the building.

This sticker explains this merchant is a DORA Permit holder and a participating bar/restaurant. If you have a DORA cup, you must dispose of it before you enter the building.


*If you choose, you may obtain a new DORA cup at this establishment.

FAQ's

Can I re-enter a business with my DORA cup if it is where I purchased the beverage?

No, once your cup has left the establishment you must consume the drink before you re-enter a business (even if it is where you purchased the drink).

Can I keep my empty DORA cup with me?

You must throw even empty cups away before you enter a business and/or leave the DORA district. 

Can I put my own alcohol in a DORA cup?

No, you must only have beer, liquor or wine that was purchased at a participating DORA merchant in your DORA cup. 

Can I take a DORA cup into my car?

No, you can't possess an opened container of beer or intoxicated liquor while being in or on a motor vehicle within an outdoor refreshment area.
